EVPRO 2010
THE ELECTRIC VEHICLES TECHNOLOGY EVENT
Milan, 16-18 November 2010

EVPRO is the 1st electric vehicles technology event in Italy, which will be held at Fiera Milano Rho from 16 to 18 November 2010.
Organized by Artenergy Publishing, leading company in integrated "cross-media" communication in the renewable energies, sustainability and innovative technologies sectors, EVPRO 2010 will shine its spotlight on a sector, that of electric vehicles, destined to develop and grow significantly in the next few years.

The increasing attention of consumers towards the environment, the ever stringent limits to CO2 emissions and the incentives for the development of less-polluting vehicles, in fact, will cause strong growth in the demand for electric vehicles in the next five years: according to Frost&Sullivan, by 2015 in Europe there will be almost 500 thousand of these vehicles, and Italy, together with the UK, Scandinavia, France and Spain, will make up for 93% of sales of this market.

Alongside three exhibition area (17 - 19 November), the three days of conferences (16 - 18 November) of EVPRO 2010 will deal in depth with the most topical subjects connected to the development and increase in use of electric and hybrid vehicles, which involve the automotive industry, producers of energy and utilities, central governments, local institutions, and investors. If, on the one hand, in fact, the most important automotive companies are betting on this market segment, on the other it is necessary to speed up the development of the network of infrastructures and of charging stations for the vehicles with research for the production of new and ever more efficient models. Moreover, with regards to the increase in use of electric vehicles, there are incentive policies and subsidies which are fundamental for their acquisition.

EVPRO 2010, therefore, will deal with the following topics:

Policy and standards

  • Incentive policies
  • The role of public administration
  • Present standards and standardization

Manufacturers and market

  • The present market offer and future protagonists
  • Growth forecasts

Technology

  • Electric engines and generators
  • Hybrid systems
  • Braking systems
  • Innovative parts and components
  • Batteries and capacitors
  • Inverters
  • Fuel cells
  • Plug-ins and recharging systems

  • Control electronics
  • Photovoltaic integration
  • Maintenance and repairs

Infrastructures and networks

  • The new infrastructures and intelligent networks

EVPRO 2010 is aimed at all those operators involved and interested in this sector (manufacturers and producers of vehicles, components and technology, energy producers, utilities, category associations, public administrations, investors, etc.) and will take place as part of a new fair concept in symbiosis with two strongly synergic fairs, which will be held from 17 to 19 November:

  • WEM EXPO 2010, the first Italian fair exclusively dedicated to the entire range of technologies for the production of electric motors, coils, and trasformers
  • HTE-hi.tech.expo 2010, the important show dedicated to the world of science, research and high-tech (including the sector of innovative batteries and fuel cells, fundamental for the development of electric vehicles), now at its 3rd edition.
